Be timely in removing clothes.
Never leave clothes in the washer or drier after the cycle has been completed.
Be patient; give others 15-20 minutes after cycle has finished for them to remove their clothes from the washer or dryer.
Do not throw clothes onto the floor: after giving leeway, place other peoples finished clothes either in a laundry basket or on top of the machine.
Be clean: keep the laundry room neat and clean up spilled detergent or any other messes made.
Empty lint tray when done: don’t make the next person use the dryer clean up after you.
Share machines: when using multiple machines always be sure to leave at least one free for others to use. Don’t be greedy.
Don’t overload the machines; overloading the machine with clothes as well as using too much detergent can damage the machine.
Folding and packaging: Once clothing is cleaned, dried, and ironed, carefully fold and package them in a neat and presentable manner. Use hotel-appropriate packaging materials such as tissue paper, branded garment bags, or hangers to maintain the high-quality standard expected in this cottage.
Be respectful: treat everyone’s clothing like your own and return all clothing left behind to its owner or respective place.
Ironing and pressing: For items that require ironing, ensure that you use the appropriate heat settings for each fabric. Pressing garments properly not only removes wrinkles but also helps maintain their original shape.
